The Meaning behind the Name DyNAMC Leaders for a Changing World

Our feature subjects are always selected for the qualities, professionalism, and drive that we feel makes them a DyNAMC Leader for a Changing World.

In selecting a name for our magazine we put great thought in choosing a single word to best describe the overall tone and vibe of the publication: Strong, Energetic, Empowering, Inspiring, Spirited, Honest, Powerful, Bold, and Vibrant.

We thought, “Dynamic!”

Dynamic, according to the dictionary, is a force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process; to be constantly changing or active; positive in attitude and full of energy and new ideas; determined. Synonyms are: energetic, spirited, active, lively, zestful, vital, vigorous, forceful, powerful, positive; high-powered, progressive, bold, enterprising; magnetic, passionate, fearless; go-getting, peppy, full of vim and vigor, gutsy, spunky, feisty, go-ahead;

In tying the name of the publication to our association, the National Association of Minority Companies, Inc. (NAMCO), an organization that advocates for women, minorities, and veterans we simply removed the “i” and voila — DyNAMC was born.

We consider dynamic people to be those who are a powerful, positive, and proactive influence. They are passionate and making a difference in the realm of that passion. They are people of high integrity who contribute to powerful, meaningful change.

A dynamic person is one who can “touch, move, and inspire others.”
